Ken Leatherman of Leatherman Realty Services, Syracuse, and Melody Cusick of RE/MAX Rainbow REALTORS, Syracuse, have joined forces in purchasing the RE/MAX Rainbow REALTORS real estate office.  The partnership of Leatherman and Cusick brings two top performing area real estate agents together to forge a powerful team.
     The RE/MAX franchise will be renamed RE/MAX Partners and has been assigned the Syracuse area as its marketing territory.  Within the partnership are three selling teams.
     Melody Cusick and Cindy Miller have been a long-standing, multi-million dollar yearly producing team.
     Amy Cavender, along with assistants Rita Davis and Jeannie Coverstone, has developed an efficient team to promote customer service and market penetration.
     The Leatherman Realty Services team consists of broker/owner Ken Leatherman; broker administrator Lori Rockwell; and Realtor Whitey Bell.  This team has worked together for several years and has proven to be customer service oriented and a very effective group.
     The combination of the Leatherman, Cusick and Cavender marketing teams has given the RE/MAX Partners agency an experienced, high powered and aggressive profile.  This group of agents has already proven themselves as high producers and has captured a large share of the area’s market.
     Cusick has been a RE/MAX agent for eight years.  Being a consistent multi-million dollar producer, she is well known in the area.  Her customer service dedication has been a hallmark of her career.  She will tell you that the flow of communication that is needed in a real estate transaction would not run as smoothly without the proficient efforts of team member, Realtor Cindy Miller.
     Amy Cavender has been active in real estate sales for the past two years.  Amy has had five years of experience in the mortgage finance business, working with both Beneficial Finance and Household Finance.  Being a top producer for two national corporations has given Amy the work processes needed to be a top real estate producer.  Her focus on customer service has produced many repeat customers in a short period of time.
     Leatherman has been an area broker/owner for four years.  He received his realtor license in 1971.  with the assistance of Lori Rockwell, they have built an independent real estate office that has grown rapidly since its startup in 2000.  This growth has given them the opportunity to expand their existing operations to the construction business, in which Leatherman has had several years of experience in both residential and commercial properties.  New construction will also be a featured service available through Leatherman Realty Services Construction Company.
